Safety on the Job

Throughout the restoration project at the enrollment services building on the iowa state university campus in ames, iowa, we had the opportunity to partner with the master builders of iowa and the iowa osha's worksafe program. this program is designed to assist contractors to be 'safety proactive' through the implementation of planning, professional job site consultation, training, and recognition.

Before the project even started, we conducted a kickoff meeting with MBI to discuss our site-specific safety plan, identify potential hazards, and ensure regulatory compliance. Throughout the project. we invited MBI/OSHA onto our job site to conduct safety audits, including an unannounced mock OSHA inspection. All three times, the crew passed with flying colors and left the inspectors highly impressed.

Safety on the ISU project was a group effort spearheaded by Project Foreman, Juan and his team members Manny, Marvin, and Alfonso, and it was supported by Brian Makenzie.
